Awesome experience for dad and #sawtoothjr! We were finally able to get on some deer in #Idaho unit 41 and the lil dude performed like an old pro. One shot and done after doing some sneaking, and running, and more sneaking at the end of the day. We closed the gap from 850 to 250 on a heard that had two forkys. The little #257roberts and Jr hopefully got their first of many deer together!

Three studs! Friendstomer @vwr17 brought me his dads old .340 Weatherby and wanted to rebuild it for his son @ronnierust17 as a surprise. Projects like these make perfect sense to someon,but not always the guy building it. I love the sentimental value and would never try to talk actual sense into a rifle build when something like that is the main goal. It is pictures like these that make me smile, realize they were right, and proud to be a little part of it(even if they forgot to get the rifle in there). 😉 Congrats Ronnie and Vic! What a hunt!

Things got exciting at last light as a new buck appeared in the hole we’ve been frequenting. He didn’t give us a chance tonight, but we plan to meet up with him again this week. We are trying to get one in range of #sawtoothjr and the trusty new little lefty muzzleloader. Yep, that is a muzzleloader. 40cal slinging 225gr at 2480 FPS.
